Science and research are essential for the future of a country. Therefore, the Bavarian State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts provides support for the next generation of scientists. There are various support programmes for students, gifted students, young scientists as well as in the field of research and vocational education.

Arts and culture have always been rated high in Bavaria as well. Culture both strengthens identity and is the visible expression of creativity and renewal. The state and local governments are responsible for the cultural life in the whole of Bavaria. For this purpose, we offer a number of support programmes in arts and culture.
